How to manage Dashboards user access?

Dashboard owners can set permissions at a granular level that allows view or edit permissions to their dashboards. In addition, sharing has also been made easier with the ability to enable dashboard access for only specific user groups

The Dashboard User Access control can be found inside a dashboard view (highlighted in the screenshot below)

Dashboards can be shared with other users in two access types:

1. View: This type of access will allow users to have access to your dashboard in a read-only mode. Other users will not be able to modify the dashboard, update the widgets or modify the underlying dataset behind the dashboard

2. Edit: This type of access will allow users to have full edit access to your dashboard. Other users will be able to modify the dashboard and will also be able to update the widgets or modify the underlying dataset behind the dashboard

For each user access type there are several sharing options:

1. None: No one has access. The dashboard is private to the owner

2. Everyone: Everyone has access

3. Only These Users: You can provide names/ emails of users. Only these users will have access

4. None Of These Users: This is an exclusion option - You can provide names/ emails of users. Everyone except these users will have access

5. Only Users In These Groups: You can provide name of a User Group available on the Contify platform. Only the users of the provided Group will have access

6. None of The Users In These Groups: This is an exclusion option - You can provide name of a User Group available on the Contify platform. Everyone except the users of the provided Group will have access
